I’m not far from there and I just got power back

We are back now, county hasn’t even touched the roads in our neighborhood, getting out tomorrow will be fun!

Anyone else in Lincoln for the Great Blizzard of ‘97? It was an October snowstorm so all of the trees still had their leaves. Absolutely destroyed campus.

I lived in Lincoln then. There were so many power outages across town that LPS got the entire week off, which was amazing.

I was a student at UNL, and there was a rumor that if UNL did not have class at least 3 days in a week, then Nebraska would not be eligible to play that week.

I have no idea if that was the reason that the school was reopened when it was.
