Daily Weather Thread

I’m resigned to the fact I’m losing all the food in my freezer, can’t even head to my
Parents or in laws as they are without power too

Posted something similar in the baseball thread….
I live in NE Nebraska on our farm, nearly all the towns around me lost power today including my parents in town. I’m amazed that I never lost power and so many other places did. Had a lot of people in my area texting each other and sharing pictures and videos of power poles snapped off and power lines downed. Haven’t seen anything like this since I was a kid. I have wireless internet and it just now came back on.

Are you 22 or 82 years old? Or somewhere in between.

Roads fine now?
How are the main roads in Omaha?

I’m supposed to land at Eppley around 9pm. Trying to decide if I should crash at my sisters in Elkhorn or drive back to Lincoln.
Roads that I traveled on were fine. But that was just Underwood, Saddle Creek, Harney, and 75. Gotta imagine the major roads out west are fine as well, it would just be in the neighborhoods that you’ll run into a bunch of slush, etc.

Got the same call. One of our friends in Midtown got that call 10 minutes after their power came back on.
My brother and his family came over to our place when they lost power (they have a new born). Couple hours later they checked their Ring doorbell and saw that there power was back. Half hour later they got the call that it might not be back on until Monday.

Live north of Fremont, every county road I drove by had multiple downed poles. Wouldn’t be surprised if that area had over 100 poles down. Loaded up our 3 week old and headed to Bennington which has power.

Had to turn around twice due to downed lines blocking the road.
