*** Finally, back to QB transfer Casey Thompson. I spoke with him yesterday and he is interested in OU, with Coach Gundy and Coach Lebby talking to him several times already.
Nebraska is still the team I would pick right now, but if Caleb Williams drags this thing out too long, I think OU will press hard on CT. They like him and want him, but CW is the guy they have first as of now and CT knows and understands that.
Regardless, I don’t think the Sooners will let it get too far without reassurances from CW and his camp. If they can’t get that in the next week, I can’t imagine the Sooners not putting the full court press on the Sooners legacy.

This was from yesterday things may have changed since his visit today. They’re going to have a harder time convincing him to be a second transfer QB in their class than they think.
I find it hard to believe a guy with NFL aspirations wants to be in a QB battle in potentially his last season against another very proven QBThey’re going to have a harder time convincing him to be a second transfer QB in their class than they think.
It would be a horrible decisionI find it hard to believe a guy with NFL aspirations wants to be in a QB battle in potentially his last season against another very proven QB
And yet you could see a guy saying he’d rather take that risk than go the Bermuda Triangle of football. It would be a horrible decision
Against another proven QB who is reunited with his old OC....I find it hard to believe a guy with NFL aspirations wants to be in a QB battle in potentially his last season against another very proven QB
I don't know that it'd make it less of a bad decision. Kid has more options than us and OU and should probably make a better decision. And yet you could see a guy saying he’d rather take that risk than go the Bermuda Triangle of football.
After reading about him some, it seems like he’s a Sooner more than anything. It sounds like he always wanted to follow his Dad’s footsteps but it’s just never worked out.Looks like we are going to get Casey Thompson then. Never thought I would be able to to root for a Longhorn, but looks like I am going to have to this next year. Who knows, maybe he can help break this fucking curse on Husker football.
