I am so glad we dodged this fuck. There's a dignified way to usher kids to the portal. Not knowing your player's names, belittling in meetings those that are remaining to get them to hopefully hate their life so much they leave, ignoring existing players.

I think back to Rhule's first non-announcement presser talking about for those kids trying to decide, he committed to sitting down with their film, evaluating them as a guy who was just in the NFL Draft rooms, and would tell them what NFL guys will be saying about them. Praised Garrett Nelson up and down, and Nelson had absolutely NOTHING to offer Matt Rhule.

I'm actually more inclined to think Colorado has some success now that the media is piling on instead of fellating Deion.

I mean, screw CU with a thousand Ralphie penises, and everyone in Boulder can get buffalo AIDS, but SI is an inverse indicator almost on the level of Jim Cramer.

He had a meeting with coach Deion Sanders scheduled for 3 p.m. Monday — until his phone buzzed with a text message from offensive line coach Bill O’Boyle.

That meeting had been moved up. It started in 30 minutes. An apologetic O’Boyle was waiting in the lobby of the team facility. As they made their way toward Sanders’ office, O’Boyle told him what was happening.

“He’s walking with me and said, ‘Hey buddy, you’re going to get cut today. I’m sorry to tell you this. I didn’t want you to hear it from Coach Prime. I wanted you to hear it from my mouth. I didn’t want to cut you, but we had to cut five offensive linemen, and you were the last one,’” Gray told The Athletic on Tuesday evening."

When it comes to being the head coach of a power 5 program, yes, this very much is his first rodeo.

He's not going to have the talent differential at Colorado with CU vs P5 that he had with JSU vs FCS.

Deion has a little Scotch Frost in him in that he is really just assuming the same things that worked for him at JSU will work at Colorado. Like Frost, I think Deion would have been better off taking a bigger job in FL or GA. I don't think Colorado is a good fit for what he's trying to do. It's actually kind of a challenge getting and keeping good players in Boulder. ESPN showing that snow at the spring game probably is not helping either.
