Colorado going all out at practice

It will be interesting to see how by importing more than 40 players from Jackson State will play out there.
I think it was just poorly worded. Not all 40 came from Jackson State. The end of the sentence, "and all over the country" is key.

"The new staff has imported more than 40 newcomers from Jackson State, Sanders’ previous school, and from all over the country."

I'm pretty tired of my favorite podcast talking about Colorado but they made a good point yesterday. Colorado was so bad that getting rid of what they have and taking below average players from other power 5 schools could still make them better.

I for one hope they win 0 games next year.

Let's see which approach works in the long run.....

Primetime: You were a bad team and maybe some of you are thinking about leaving already, well go ahead and leave. I'm bringing in better guys than you. I know some of you are young and still could possibly develop but I'm not interested in that. I'm interested in Louie Vitton and cowboy hats and I want guys that want to take a picture with a Lamborghini. Now who wants a t-shirt with my nickname on it and a picture of me.

Rhule: I know the results weren't what Nebraska wants, but I see potential in you. I want to work with you to see what we can accomplish together. I'll be honest, it won't be easy. I'll promise to work hard and I hope you will follow my lead. I will demand that your position coaches try to get the best out of you. I don't care if you were a starter, benchwarmer or left the team, if you chose Nebraska at some point let's see if it can work with a new start. Give everything you have in spring and let's improve day by day. We should be thankful for this opportunity and I'm happy to be here with you. If it doesn't work then we can see if we can help you land somewhere.
it's quite possible both approaches work

Another one. Probably not any good but there aren't a lot of 6'6 320 lbs bodies with power 5 experience out there. Guess you gotta give Deion some credit for apparently looking long term, because it's hard to believe he cares too much about next year at this point.

I'm not sure next year is anything close to our number one priority either, but we had a better roster coming in than Colorado. Next year should never be the main concern in the first year of a rebuild.

“I’m a change agent,” Sanders said Saturday. “And I’ll be darned, anything I touch, it has no other possibilities but to change. Because that’s what we do.”

I guarantee that the long run is better for nebraska. Let’s say prime flips the roster & in year 2 or 3, maybe even the long shot of year 1, he wins so what happens next?

Prime leaves for the next job & unless it’s the nfl(won’t be cuz his value is in recruiting), he’ll raid his previous roster of every valuable player cuz they aren’t there for the school/program/team, the loyalty is to prime. Rhule seems to have a much bigger picture in mind long term & even if he bails for penn state, he isn’t gonna fist Nebraska on the way out

Just curious for those who might know, but is it common practice for coaches to give players practice film when they transfer or enter the portal?
as far as I know, yes. the really weird thing is that these players are talking about practice film from the previous staff so it's not like they are even risking giving anything away schematically

I believe we did something similar under Frost. Lambrect was “protecting” film. I don’t recall if it was for them trying to go pro or transferring though.
