Eagle Rare

I have never been able to get my hands on an eagle rare. Always wanted to try one just to see if it lived up to the hype. Can you get it pretty easily in Colorado? Wine Beer and Spirits in Lincoln and wall2wall wines gets it sometimes but I can’t ever get there fast enough to get a bottle (I live 1.5 hours north of Lincoln).

There’s a couple stores here in my town that post whenever they get some so I’m usually able to grab one.

Hard to come by in Nebraska as well but it’s all over in Kansas City Kansas and Wichita.

When it first started getting distributed in Nebraska I went in to a small local store in Omaha asking if they had gotten it yet. You would have guessed that I asked for a BTAC or pappy hearing the lady working berate me. Do you know how many people come in here every day asking for allocated bourbons?
Haven’t been back in there since.

Markups are steep here in FL. Usually around $90-100. I’ve had good luck finding near msrp in Cali. I’ll be there next week for work so I’ll go hunting for a new bottle there.

Found the Bookers 2024-03 Batch at a Binny’s on Sunday for $81, so I picked it up for a guy in The bourbon group.
Another place around town had Elmer and Weller 12 at $335. He said he never sells any of them… told him maybe he should think about lowering prices..

You should take the train (bright line) super nice. Can’t wait until it’s connected all the way to Tampa.

Deal went through today. He wanted to make sure I got a year of CYPB and MWND he had duplicates of and didn’t trust my coworker to do that when I was over there Monday. Even got a bottle of ER thrown in that I know someone in this thread wants and id be willing to trade with. Aldo got a sample of William larue weller.

I picked up an Eagle Rare here in New England. I could have picked up a few Wellers and a Blanton for 20% over markup. But the ER was only 50.

Nice! Which MWND? There are some great years, and some not so great. This year’s is pretty decent
