I saw my local liquor store has Blantons Red from Japan. I’m sure it’s crazy expensive.
You gotta ask…
For the first time in a year I found an OF SBBP today. Last bottle they had.
Then I went down the street and found the Maker’s wood finishing series FAE-01 for $75. Good day of hunting!

Grabbed a Red Line Honey Barrel Finish store pick from my spot. It’s supposedly the only honey Barrel finish for them being released this year. I got to be part of the barrel selection with a bunch of other people. Also got it signed by their Master Distiller.
Also have a friend doing tastings at Four Roses, BT, Wild Turkey, and Woodford next week. They may hit up OF, HH and Beam, too, but aren’t sure about those. I gave him a list of bottles that is fairly extensive if he has a chance to pick them up.

Had the new Little Book last night. Not bad, but it didn’t make me want to pull the trigger on it for the price.
Also had a buddy on the bourbon trail, so I gave him a list of bottles for the places he was visiting, but the only one available was a Four Roses SB Barrel Strength OESQ

This came in a gift package from WBS in Omaha. I got the heads up. One per customer. Only two left when I grabbed one.
The proof and wood government series has been pretty good. I think I’ve been able to buy all of them as they come out but don’t have a checklist or anything to verify. I believe my favorite was the 2017 presidential dram bourbon. Need to do a taste test across all to make sure.

What was the blend in the little book? I’ve only ever had the first release which included a significant amount of 40 year Canadian. It was really good.

Got the Master’s Keep Triumph this morning, and a Kentucky Spirit from the Camp Nelson rickhouse yesterday.

Picked up a Blue Run high rye under MSRP recently and I can not get in to it. Gone back a few times. Anyone know who distills it?

My buddy grabbed an Evan Williams Master Blend (only available at the distillery) for me as well, so I am going to give that a try. It’s bottle 95 in the collection. Gonna try to get something special for 100

What is everyone looking to get this summer?
I’m after the Russell’s 15, but I’m not paying these insane secondary prices. But I love Russell’s and I’d be thrilled for that to be bottle 100

Do you have trouble finding any of those? The only one I can’t get is Bardstown, but it isnt sold in MO. I’ve managed to get a couple bottles in IL, though. All the others are solid, and always on the shelf, although if you like Old Forester 100, I don’t see a reason for the 86. And while I love Russell’s, I am not much for the 10. The single barrels are significantly better, albeit more expensive.
