I’m not out but I don’t really understand the vision or it’s implementation

Trying to find a reason to believe but 20 games in and I don't even understand what his ideal version of the team looks like.

If he's got a vision I feel like he's further away from achieving it than he was @ Minnesota last year

My vote is still in on Rhule, cuz this isn't the SEC and you cant just fire coaches before they wrap up year 2. After a weekend cool-off period to gather my thoughts, I would just like to ask HOW IN THE ACTUAL FUCKITY FUCK do we let fucking 2-5 UCLAbia walk into OUR house, beat our asses upside and inside out, and not even have a single answer on either side of the ball? They had their way with us, and even the refs were giving us pity calls because it hurt to watch. How do you move on from that as a team? How do you come back from a 2-5 1st year coach prolapsing our "vaunted defense", 2nd year "team builder corch" and "5 star qb", AT HOME???? How do you not fire somebody, anybody, on Sunday to show that you want to be a serious football program? I don't think Rhule has what it takes. If he was half the man and leader he wants to portray, he would give back the 6 bajillion or whatever he's earned so far this year. Donate it to 1890 or whatever. Move his asst coaches into barracks until they can figure something out. I actually thought TWhite was getting poached at the end of this year. He ain't shit. Satterfield is less than ain't shit. Foley can get fucked with a rusty garden loppers. Rhule absolutley needs to show that he's capable of improvement and leading a weak team through difficultys, but I don't see it happening. All hat, no cattle with that one.
You sir are a prime candidate for the sandy vagina crew. What say you? I submitted my application Saturday night.

What is Rhule’s strength as a football coach? That’s an honest question because I really don’t know
The one thing I’ve heard people say is that he hasn’t had a large amount of players transfer with how popular transferring is now a days.

Some will also say the rah rah speeches. I’m kinda over those at this point. The tend to be a little too preachy and over the top.

I think it was easier to identify from his college experience before NU: he takes bad teams and builds a culture of fundamentals, consistency, development and ultimately winning football.

At Nebraska I can't identify anything beyond being a better CEO/face of the program than Frost. He's a decent guy and the adult that was needed but it hasn't translated into meaningful improvement on the field.

The more I have thought about this, the more I think Rhule is in serious trouble. Ended year 1 on a pathetic 4 game losing streak and we are staring down a 6 game losing streak to end this year. What are we building for next year? He is going into year 3 like it is year 0 or 1, that gets coaches fired in a hurry.

This program is in a bad spot.

They are in scramble mode. You are right - 4 game losing streak to end the season last year, and it's looking possibly worse than that this year.

Offense is almost the worst in entire CFB. Defense is bipolar - sometimes really good, sometimes really bad. Both offense and defense seem to get worse as opposing coaching staffs find our tendencies, we don't adjust well (or at all), and it is game(s) over. Defense is definitely way better than offense, but both lose the adjustment/scouting/scouted war.

Special teams? Nothing needs to be said here. Is there a team with worse overall special teams play for the season than us in CFB? Probably not.

Rhule is in scramble mode. Tough to right the ship 9 games into the season. But some semblance of improvement needs to be shown these last 3 games. Because who wants to come play in offense/defense/special teams systems that are so damn bad...

I think Matt severely undervalued the overall competitiveness and defensive prowess of the big 10 vs the.l big 12. I also think he overbought into his own hype and made some terrible staff hires.

I'm not out on Rhule yet. He hasn’t even completed two full seasons as head coach, yet he’s already making proactive adjustments, such as hiring Dana Holgorsen, which shows his willingness to adapt and make tough decisions to improve the team.

It’s almost as if Rhule should have followed Frost’s playbook of blaming previous coaches and players. Fans/Media seemed to eat that shit up, giving Frost nearly five years of leniency despite consistently poor results.

The above paragraph is obviously sarcasm and Rhule deserves his share of scrutiny, but the intense criticism he’s facing so early highlights an inconsistency in how fans treat coaches during different stages of rebuilding. It begs the question of why some are afforded more patience while others are judged almost immediately.

Two things...Frost was the golden boy hometown hero we all wanted to be something he obviously isn't so many coped for a long time. Second I think fans are just at the end of patience and when we see the results we've gotten the last five games I think the willingness to extend any more free pass time has dried up. I've said many times in the past that Rhule was in a position to unfairly get the backlash for the last ten years if things went poorly his first two seasons. Although I don't think fans being unhappy with the current state of the program are being unfair.

It would sure help a lot if we just made a dadburned bowl game this year.
