I just don’t get why everyone can throw a quick out against us for 8-10 yards whenever they want, and we can never do that. We tried once in the 2 min drill and Banks set up instead of breaking out and HH threw it too far outside incomplete. I mean, UCLAbia could do it all night long. Indianus repeatedly marched right down the field doing it. But we can never get yards that easy.

That IT factor Dylan had at the beginning of the year is gone. I used to take such comfort that he was going to find the open guy every time. Now, he just holds the ball way too long and gets sacked or throws it away. If you watch the game from the north or south end zones you see guys running open, but Dylan doesn’t hit them. He has lost confidence. He’s not the same QB he was.

I thought Haarberg actually looked pretty good in his time. Sharp decisive throws, a couple WRs should have/could have come down with but didn’t. I never, I mean never, thought I’d be more confident in Haarberg’s passing over Dylan, but here we are.
Dylan's hurt. Back issues, shoulder issues, ankle issues. Hasn't been right physically since somewhere in the Illinois game. And it's affected all areas of his game. Gutty kid, he won't complain, but puts Rhule in a tough spot whether Dylan at 70-80% is better to put out there than what appears to be an improved Haarberg at close to 100%.

Satt & the offensive calls aren't helping him out, either. Needs to be more of the intermediate stuff like the outs that you mentioned.

It was probably or maybe said ITT or elsewhere, but Rhule is in tough spot - maybe. That's only if the Raiola's think Satt is the answer. Am I crazy...I'm crazy. Ha ha!

Then there's Dylan. WTH did his confidence go? Or is he overrated?
I honestly dont think he’s overrated. I think it’s a combination of several things. He’s lost his mojo (confidence) and that’s due to several things.

As competition gets stronger, his decision time is shorter. That causes him to miss some open receivers. Play calling is not great. Satterfield abandons the run and puts the entire game on Raiola. Not all receivers are blocking. And I think Dylan has been playing banged up since Illinois. Trying to throw too much in short yardage situations to Fidone. Fidone needs to be further downfield. I could go on but my point is it’s not all on Raiola.

In September, on the onset of conference play, Rhule stated that the conference games was the where the real season starts. “We’ll find out where we are at.”, he said.

Well, NU is 2-4 in that timespan. In the wins, an average 21 points scored. In each game, the consistent theme was subpar offensive production for a myriad of very clear to see reasons.

Outwardly, Rhule is a positive guy but that mask has surely dropped behind closed doors. By now he has had to fully comprehend reality, saying the quiet part out loud.

His traction is slipping.

His actions in the next 2 weeks will define the next 2 years for NU football.

I actually agree with much of what you said. Sometimes it's complicated as to the reasons why. This is one of them.

“I don’t want it to come across as an excuse, you’re playing these teams coming off byes and they’re doing different things against you,” Rhule said. “They studied you for two weeks and they studied themselves and all of the sudden they’re coming out and throwing something new at you.”

Already posted but this is the most limp dick, zero insight excuse I have heard for a while. Glad to know other coaches can take advantage of a bye week.

It just blows my fucking mind that Rhule spent years in the NFL, a league in which having good coordinators heavily determines whether you make it to the playoffs, and he comes to Nebraska and thought yeah, I’m gonna hire Satterfield and Foley
Rhule must have believed it had more to do with the franchise qb.

Pathetic that it was even a thought to the corches

No way in hell do the Raiola's want Satt back. No way.

DR's confidence took a huge hit in the Illini game, then the Buttgers INT.

But also since then, opposing DC's have Satt's pathetic offensive scheme completely figured out. OSU actually used less of the book on how to beat us than these other teams - probably because they thought they didn't need to and wanted to do "their" defensive stuff/gameplan.

I'd be surprised if OSU spent more than 1 day on us during their bye.

My vote is still in on Rhule, cuz this isn't the SEC and you cant just fire coaches before they wrap up year 2. After a weekend cool-off period to gather my thoughts, I would just like to ask HOW IN THE ACTUAL FUCKITY FUCK do we let fucking 2-5 UCLAbia walk into OUR house, beat our asses upside and inside out, and not even have a single answer on either side of the ball? They had their way with us, and even the refs were giving us pity calls because it hurt to watch. How do you move on from that as a team? How do you come back from a 2-5 1st year coach prolapsing our "vaunted defense", 2nd year "team builder corch" and "5 star qb", AT HOME???? How do you not fire somebody, anybody, on Sunday to show that you want to be a serious football program? I don't think Rhule has what it takes. If he was half the man and leader he wants to portray, he would give back the 6 bajillion or whatever he's earned so far this year. Donate it to 1890 or whatever. Move his asst coaches into barracks until they can figure something out. I actually thought TWhite was getting poached at the end of this year. He ain't shit. Satterfield is less than ain't shit. Foley can get fucked with a rusty garden loppers. Rhule absolutley needs to show that he's capable of improvement and leading a weak team through difficultys, but I don't see it happening. All hat, no cattle with that one.
