The. Fucking. Worst.

My drive from Madison, WI to Omaha has some long moments.

A lot of small trucking companies will go out of business over the next few months. Should help yall whiners navigate the wild open road better

The far left one is the biggest asshole. He should have never gotten in the left lane.

Semi’s are the enemies of the road. Truck drivers can be ducks, but I do respect them for their jobs. So when I say semi’s are the enemies, I mean them as objects. The drivers are people even though some make stupid and asshole decisions like above.

This would cause me to rage...and in my youth, probably pass the far left lane trucker on the shoulder to let him know my spite.

We recently drove to PCB, and I swear, driving through Arkansas is the worst...truckers just cruising in the left lane, not getting back over when there's room, but stay in the left lane to pass another truck .25 of a mile ahead, creeping toward it.

For almost 15 years 75% of my day to day life consisted of everything in this thread. I don't even know where to begin other than feeling the need to clarify 25% not a part of that career would be grinder blowies @God is a Husker haha.

Was driving back home on the interstate yesterday with the kids in back thinking about how dumb this thread was - I'm a pretty impatient person but have never really had a problem with semi's/semi drivers and have always thought they do a good job.

As I'm thinking this, the semi in the right lane I was passing starts moving over into my lane for absolutely no reason. There's no one in front of him and no one on the right shoulder. It's two lane interstate with no shoulder on the left side, I have nowhere to go. I slam on my brakes and lay on the horn and he just keeps moving over. Since I slammed on my brakes I fell back and he ended up missing me by about two feet. He drove for about 30 seconds in the left lane then just moved back to the right lane.

WTF

If you see a truck driver way ahead of you, happily following another vehicle with no one in the left lane, they come over into the left lane as soon as a car gets close to them. Without fail. They could have gotten over and tried to pass sooner. They could have waited for you to pass.

They are the traffic governors.

Might’ve dozed off. Happens more than you want to know.

They used to be good but most of the older drivers have retired now. With the driver shortage the last few years it seems like they just hand out CDLs to anyone with little to no training.

I've worked with drivers from Crete, New England, and Swift in the past and it would scare you to death if you saw the people they let drive for them. Usually the drivers closer to their homebases are pretty good but the farther away the more sketchy they get.

My cousins run a towing company in Western Nebraska and do a lot of big rig recoverys and they just shake their heads when you talk to them about the level of drivers and the trucking companies they deal with.

The middle lane trucker had his signal on for a good half mile and the far right douchebag wouldn't let him over. Far left driver was racing the middle driver. Shit show fellas.
