Are semi Truck drivers the scum of the roads?

I think semi drivers are important jobs. With that said, majority of these drivers are literally dumb mother f’ers who are semi drivers because they don’t have the mental capacity to do anything else. In college I worked at a cold storage unit and the drivers coming through were some of the dumbest people I have ever interacted with.

The standards are incredibly low for company drivers. I think they have trouble getting good ones. Owner operators are probably a lot better.

I used to work a security booth at a distribution center years ago while in college. Some were nice people, some smelled like literal cat piss. We had multiple bottles of febreeze in our little booth to spray when they left.

Now that CA is approving illegals for CDLs watch out! A lot more deaths incoming

I work in logistics on the bulk side of things. I will say, it's pretty split. I have guys I work with who put me to shame on the intelligence level and some that are plan stupid.

Owners ops are some of the most mind boggling when it comes to the ability to run a business. Some of these guys go bankrupt in two years because they buy brand new trucks and trailers and don't know what their running mile needed is or what their operating costs are, don't prep food and constantly eat out, and don't know how to adjust in situations like the current fuel market.

This pic is from December but just saw this thread now. Saw the absolute worst truck I’ve ever seen at a truck stop. I think it was in southern Illinois or northern Kentucky
