This would be good but also remember last year. CU could not have been flying any higher than they were after beating TCU...and yet they still were very mediocre in 1st half vs NU. If NU had even a C+ level QB, they'd have been up 17 pts going into halftime.

So frankly it doesn't matter if CU is up or down when they face us. If we're the better team it won't matter. If we are actually even in quality then it would I suppose.

But CU had a huge road win PLUS their biggest, best home crowd ever vs NU last yr and they basically laid an egg in the first half.

We also were coming off of a disappointing road loss and had our second away game in a row

Probably a good guess. Thankfully if we are thinking this, then Tony White knows it.

If they're smart though, they'd burn a play just to get their own team settled down vs the raucous crowd. Burning a play would be a HB dive for 1 yd or a screen pass for 1 yd.

I know that. You know that. Sanders knows that. So White has to know that too? Right!?! They aren't going to gash us up the middle. I would hope that we are sitting in quarters for at least that first possession. But, at the same time, we can't give Shiloh all day to throw...we need to keep him on his toes...

He is a RS SR with no stats at Oregon State, played in 5 games at Oregon State over 3 seasons, after a JuCo career.

Seems like a sold pickup that should really help their team. Nothing invokes confidence like picking up a RS SR that has done nothing in 3 seasons of P5 football during Fall camp.
