I agree. And he has significantly better skill guys to help, but he is constantly fucked and limited with what he can do. The OL is trash. AMart wouldn’t be better. He was just never the real problem, but did take the brunt of the blame

We have ZERO QB run game too.. yes, this team is and has been terrible. The reality is we blamed someone for all of our ailments when every part of the team was cancerous.

Yeah I don't think thats true on this board. He got some hate for some really bad plays and rightfully so. Do I believe if we had a better qb last year we win more games? Absolutely. College game a really good qb is big. Coaching is even bigger though.

Hypothetically replace Martinez with Bryce Young January 2021. How many more games do we win?

Replace staff with Saban's staff players stay the same. How many more games do we win?

I'm gonna say 4 more games with Young. 6 more games with Saban & staff.

I did since 2019. I do agree the number one problem was Frost by far. I still believe Martinez wasn’t the guy to run an offense like Frost wanted. You don’t want him carrying a team constantly. I do agree you can go down the list of issues with the team and Martinez wasn’t the top issue. Frost’s recruiting at qb was also horrible. He recruited projects after Martinez and had opportunities at transfer qbs to make the the team better and never took it. I also know there are many more issues with Frost besides this which made us suck.

Martinez was half of our issues and if we had a semi competent OL, he’d been protected more. Hell, if our defense was able to hold a lead in the 4th quarter, last years team would’ve been bowl eligible.

I’m glad to see Martinez doing okay at K state and wish him well.

Some prominent Frost backers that have mysteriously disappeared certainly fell into the camp of putting the blame on AMart.
I hate getting into hypothetical situations because Saban wouldn’t recruit AMart, and his defense would be better, and so would every phase of the game.. who knows, they’d likely win the west.

I honestly do not think with Frost it would have mattered unless we had other pieces, mainly OL. Maybe win 1 or 2 more, at most

Hixson has surprisingly not been the weak link. He's actually probably been consistently the best lineman so far. Which is like saying his foot has been the least painful kick in my nuts.

I think with better Qb play and smarter decisions they definitely beat Michigan st, Michigan Purdoodoo, Ohio st ,Minnesota and Wisconsin. I'm throwing Cockeye out because smothers played. I think even smothers wins some of those games. I.e Michigan st,Purdoodoo Minnesota and possibly Wisconsin. Frost had his head too far up am's ass though.

EMAW manages Adrian so much better then the fighting Scotties did. I’ve watched him 3 times this year… he looks much more in control in Aggieville land then he did here.

You’ve got more faith than I, brother. But like I said, I do t like hypotheticals because it’s useless. This year has illustrated to me that the issues ran far deeper than 1 spot.
