I think they have some dudes that can play and could be a fast turnaround. Some of it is dependent upon what schemes they run and if they pare it down.
What do you feel is an appropriate amount of schemes to make up the bulk of your run calls?

It seems like we run about 8 or so before you get to any of your option series.

How much do Benharts abnormally short arms really affect his play at RT? People on 247 make a big deal about it, but idk.

In your toolbox and what you carry to a game is going to vary a little.

So probably something like this.
Run Scheme: 5-6
PAP Scheme - 1-2 dedicated PAP Schemes different from Dropback
Dropback - 2-3 schemes - include Empty, 5, 6, and 7 man protection
Slow Screen - 1-2
Fast Screens - 1-2
Sprint Out - 1

I'm just spitballing a little here.
For me personally, we have
5 run schemes - Tight Zone, Power/Counter, Pin & Pull, OZ
7 pass schemes Power Pass, Naked, Half-Slide, P&P Pass, Sprint Out, Slow Screen, Fast Screen.
Will we run all 12 in a game...not a chance, typically we run about 3 run schemes a game, and 4 pass schemes a game.

Here's Ohio States Schemes from 2014.

Not that I have any say, or anyone probably cares what I think, but I'd be looking at 13 transfers.
QB - 1
Adrian needs to go. Love the kid, but hate the football player. Doesn't have a clutch bone in his body and hasn't won us a game in 4 years. Time to start fresh with a new OC
RB - 1
Morrison and Scott are gone. We have decent depth, but Frost has talked all season how we need to have someone separate from the pack
WR - 1
Toure is gone and I'd let Martin go too. I wouldn't be surprised if we lose another WR or two to the portal. Won't have a lot of returning production. Getting another dude to run with Betts and Manning would be perfect
TE - 0
I feel great about the TE room. Beckton has done an amazing job with his guys. Hopefully Vokolek is back for another year, but even without him, I know Beckton will have his guys ready
OL - 2-3
We need so much help on the OL. OL and QB are proably the worst two rooms on the team (and thus a 3-9 record...). Some decent potential currently in the room, but I'm tired of hoping guys are ready to make the jump. Go out and get a few dudes to move some bodies around...
DT - 1
Not too worried about the ends, but replacing Daniels won't be easy. However, I probably trust Tuioti almost as much as Beckton right now, in terms of knowing he will have his boys ready
OLB - 1
Not a "huge" need, but we still do not have an elite pass rusher. Losing JoJo will hurt, but I beleive that we have guys on the roster who can fill his role (Gifford)
ILB - 0
Super solid room, especially with Honas potentially coming back
DB - 1-2
We lose a lot, but I also really like the guys Fisher has back there. But replacing 3/4 starters is never easy. Go out and get a stud or two.
P - 1
No explanation needed. We need a punter
K - 1
No explanation needed again. We need a place kicker
PR/KR - 0-1
While we have let teams capitalize all over our mistakes on special teams, when was the last time we made a team pay? I wouldn't mind getting a guy that just kills a team once or twice a game.

Per @eloot224 on RSS, who says he has a cousin who plays LB for Albany, Jared Verse has set up a visit to Nebraska, as well as Syracuse and FSU. Verse was the conference defensive rookie of the year, first-team all conference this year, and had 13.5 sacks in 15 games.

Fuck Yeah! Give me some more dudes that can pass rush!

If his cousin isn't N we should meet up with eloot for beers and beat the fuck out of him with tube socks filled with buffalo nickels.

The biggest concern I have with bringing in the potential transfers and jucos is thinking they will come in and make an immediate impact. I don't remember Frost&Co having much success in getting their transfers and jucos many meaningful snaps their first year in the program for whatever reasons. I might be forgetting someone but I think it took at least most of them their 2nd year in the system for them to started getting any meaningful snaps. So unless something improves in this area they are looking at playing most of the same players they have already have been playing next year.
