Marquez Beason - Illinois
Mycah Pittman - Oregon

No Joshua Moore unfortunately

Pittman and Beason have both been here before. Beason went to high school with the Daniels boys.

Pittman and Chambers catch my eye on that list.

I actually think Corocoran can play on the right side. Once Teddy gets healthy he'll take that left side. But ya you always could take a guy especially since we have no idea when Teddy will be healthy?
I will be curious what a new set of eyes can do for that room. I was really excited when Garrison was being floated around as the new guy. The OL coach is probably the 2nd most important hire behind Special teams coordinator.

I think they have a lot of good raw goods in that room. They are just young in my eyes.
DT: Nash could be ready in 8 months. Daniels wasn't ready until he was. But DL depth is always needed
I know the staff is very excited for the future of the DL room. You will need Ty and Casey to pick up the slack while Nash gets there at the 0. I think Riley is intriguing...I just don't know if he is a true nose. If you have the opportunity to add a quality guy here you always take it.
Safety: I feel more comfortable here. I think Fisher has done a nice job recruiting this position. And again at some point those young 4 star guys you recruit have to get out there and show you why they are 4 stars. At this particular position Nebraska has had 2 old guys there for like 3 years.
I am lock step with you here.

TE: Depends on if Hickman transfers
Ya it also depends on how far away Carnie and Rollins are. The guy they have committed it wouldn't shock me if he moves to OL. He has caught like 5 fucking balls all year.

OLB: Can always use depth, I think Tannor and Nelson have looked good. Gunnerson played some late.
I think Tannor was playing at a new level the last 2 games. I agree with you here.

Punter: Yes

Kicker: Yes
Yes... I will add you need to look for a guy who you think can be dynamic returning kicks/punts. I almost think you give the special teams coordinator 4 spots min to use in the portal. Assuming 2 will be returners that you can use as WR/RB/DB.
Quarterback and WR
Yup yup...

Maybe RB...definitely if he is a guy who can return kicks.

Benhart's not somebody that can slide inside is he? @slattimer

I almost feel sorry for the kid. From what I remember with his recruiting, he's a quiet kid, doesn't say much, borderline shy. Which when you're like that and you constantly jump offsides you kind of come off as a dolt. Which is probably unfair to the kid.
I think proper coaching could make a huge difference for a big man like Benhart. I am not sure if it was @slattimer or someone else but they broke down some of the O Line struggles with much of the concern being on Sets & incorrect Technique. He's a big athletic kid who I think with the proper coaching could be a bookend OT for us.

Honestly what have we seen this staff do well when it comes to development and coaching? I have a hard time blaming the players when there are failures across the board. Shows me coaches don't have an attention to detail plus quite a few other areas that they need to improve on.

I think he's got the ability to bend to play guard from what I've watched.

I'm not sure Jordon Riley is our answer

I wouldn't be surprised to see Jordan Riley move on either on his own or a push from the coaches. He easily had the worst attitude and least effort out of anyone on the team. Him and Cam got into it on more than one occasion. His efforts on scout looks cost him a few laps, many of which just simply walked around the field or he made his way over to the defensive positions where just just sat. Coaches were beyond frustrated with him.

Still made the "All Bike Shorts Team" though...

I don't know if I would want to not give 100% going against Cam. I imagine he would embarrass you really quick

Seems like we are counting on an unprecedented hit rate for the portal.

I swear I saw him getting some meaningful snaps against Cockeye, right?

I don't feel like we are devoid of talent on the OL. Would I like to see a seasoned vet come in from the transfer portal? absolutely. But more than anything we need to get the best OL coach on the market who can develop and coach what we got. Some of the young guys are intriguing - Lutovski, E. Miller, Brant Banks, even Lynn and Conn. All those guys are R-Fr or Fr. Throw in Teddy, which we all got a good look at, and all of the sudden OL isn't so bleak.

Hopefully Cam comes back and has an all-big 1st team season. I though Nouili was solid and will only improve. I certainly don't think Corcoran is beyond saving and even benhart has a ton of potential despite his horrific past two seasons. Bando played some at the end of the year, too. Hixson has another year (i think) and maybe the bulb turns on for Piper under new leadership.
