With the transfer portal, losing out on a guy typically isn’t as big of a deal as it used to be. Also, if you have most of your class complete before fall ball (unlike Frost/Pelini) more time can be allocated towards a flip or guy that blows up his senior year.

If I recall correctly, they lead the country in dollars spent this year. Somebody backing Tech has deep pockets, similar to the money dump we saw at A&M a few years back that resulted in the #1 class and a mediocre team.
