My question is when things like this happen do we have a back up to go to or do we just strike out and try to scavenge for a replacement? I guess other option is transfer portal down the line.

With the transfer portal, losing out on a guy typically isn’t as big of a deal as it used to be. Also, if you have most of your class complete before fall ball (unlike Frost/Pelini) more time can be allocated towards a flip or guy that blows up his senior year.
