So um, Bourbon thread? Yeah, Bourbon Thread.

For anyone in the Northeast part of the state, specifically West Point area, I was just getting groceries at the dollar fresh in West Point and they have a bottle of eagle rare behind the counter for the low low price of $99.99. Had it been around $50-$60 I would have thought about it but not that price myself.
Low? Fuck no. Saw a row of E.H.Taylor bottles at Mega Saver for the low price of 99.

Thought about it…

Got this today, and have a 4 Roses “Happy Father’s Day” 2025 15 year Single Barrel on the way as well.
Finally cracked open my bottle of Bakers the other night…forgot how good that bottle is.
You guys are making me thirsty on this rainy shitty night. Had the day off from harvest, so I might just do a night cap now once we get the little one to bed now that he’s sleeping through the night. I feel like I haven’t been able to work on my whiskey collection ever since he was born in June lol.

I have been seeing way more allocated bottles lately. It seems like I can find just about anything for a price.

Tonight I saw 3 cases of E.H. Taylor Small Batch for $99 a bottle. That looked to be nearly twice of MSRP, and I think most people say it’s nothing special, right?

This was last week at w2w on center. Apparently a store pick that was in the back room for a couple years. They also apparently had a blantons gold store pick collecting dust in the back room.

Someone made the interesting comment that perhaps they wouldn’t be going out of business if they actually put this stuff in the shelves

I like it but wouldn’t pay $99 a bottle. Probably $70 max. People will buy it for $99 though.

How much would Blanton’s Gold go for? I recently bought it for $100. Seemed reasonable but not sure. I hadn’t tried it so figured I would buy it at least once.

(Overall I think Blanton’s is a little overrated but still good)

I think MSRP is $140-150 for gold. I have one I got at hyvee for $160. I agree it’s overhyped. I’m just trying to get all the letters now.

That would be a huge steal, under MSRP. The store near me sells it for $215-$230. I believe I got mine for $180ish
