This has been a weird offseason because I have NEVER been more checked out from the whole Husker ecosystem. I have no idea who Matt even is.

It's not even that I'm jaded, I went to more games last season than I had since graduating from UNL in 2012, I am excited to see the team and I believe in Rhule, but when it comes to the offseason media/narratives/recruiting type stuff... I just have no idea what anyone could even be talking about right now that would be interesting or fresh.

It just seems like, until something on the field finally changes, every single thing that could possibly be said about Husker football has already been said at some point in the last 20 years. ESPECIALLY now that NIL/recruiting/transfer portal/conferences/playoffs are all just constantly in flux and have kinda turned the sport into gibberish. Am I losing my mind? hahah

All were great. Even Nick Bahes solo show was listenable, everything else has been unlistenable.

I hate to say it, but Nick Bahe is actually quite good.

If we are honest, there is a reason why all these people are in the Nebraska marketplace and not say Chicago, New York, LA…Hell even KC.

You are good at what you do, you move on to bigger markets. Period.

Schick and Nick was unmatched. Their boss basically did them a favor by cancelling the show, because it made them make the moves to what they are today, but man would I had loved for that show to just keep going.

Lets be honest Schick was way too good for local news. We were blessed to have him as long as we did.

I 100% agree with this. If I hear anything on Husker football it's from this site or TV/Radio. I feel like HCMR has this under control. Under HCSF it was a like watching "Days of our Lives" and what was going to happen, to who, next. Thanks Coach Rhule for being an adult.

I really enjoy his podcast now. Especially when he has Bo Ruud on with him because Nick has a tendency to turn into a deaf Jack Russell terrier when he's talking Nebraska football and Bo can reel him back in.

I'd probably agree there. Does anyone listen to stuff on 93.7, is that any good? I blacklisted it when any opening on the Husker staff Bill Busch was mentioned so I didn't give it a fair shake. I was also at a CWS tent and saw some former Huskers doing a radio show that was also 93.7, but no idea if they are any good. Certainly good football players at one time though!

Not a rumor. No coincidence that he just happened to fill in in the fall when Handley was on vacation and then got the gig when Handley’s contract was “mysteriously” not renewed.

Huge fan of Gary Sharp and always have been.

Gary and Matt is effectively awful. There’s 15 minutes of every segment where Matt goes off and talks about literally nothing.

I constantly have to ask “What the fuck am I listening to?”

As I’m typing this up they’re talking about how to eat peanuts and have been for the last 15 minutes.

I'm still at a loss for words just how many Americans haven't learned how to eat peanuts. I could probably go on about it for 15 minutes, but I'd be preaching to the choir.
