As of right now Colorado is much better than us at the most important position and also the skill positions by a wide margin. They beat us by 30 last year and went 4-8 against a much, much, much tougher schedule than the one we went 5-7 against.

Until we make some personel changes happen through the portal i just dont get the confidence that we will destroy them next year. Wish i could.
I don't recall every saying we'd destroy them next year so you win this made up argument 10/10 times.

I think even with their reinforcement on OL, we match up well there, but if we have to rely on the QBs we had this year we ain't winning

No chance at a bowl if that's the case. We don't have to upgrade to Heisman contender. Just give me an average QB that takes care of the ball.
CU will be a great litmus test to see whether we've made any progress or if it's all still just bullshit. I don't expect them to be great, but I think they'll be a pretty decent team that's about the caliber of most of the meh teams in our schedule.

Looks like Slime got a TE now...

Deion Sanders snagged another offensive playmaker via the transfer portal on Sunday.

Cincinnati tight end Chamon Metayer made it official and will be coming to Boulder. The 6-foot-5, 250-pounder was a dominant force for the Bearcats this year with 23 catches for 258 yards and five touchdowns. This included a two-score performance in the second to last game of the season vs. West Virginia.

Metayer brings size and strength as an extension of CU's offensive line. He'll be able to pick up blocks and be a key in the Buffs rushing attack. But he'll also replace the production of Michael Harrison, who exits via the transfer portal. The Cincinnati standout is likely to be the most underrated commit for CU in 2024. Metayer was tasked with taking over for NFL tight ends Josh Whyle and Leonard Taylor.

Colorado receives a raw talent with tremendous upside in Metayer. The North Miami (Florida) product was a three-star recruit in the 2021 class. He originally committed to the 'U' out of high school and switched to Cincinnati before Signing Day.

Metayer becomes the sixth transfer portal recruit for Deion Sanders and the Buffs. There was a major emphasis on improving CU's offensive line this weekend, which happened in a major way with five new offensive lineman on the way to CU.

Metayer comes to Boulder with three years of eligibility remaining.

Sounds like he had the exact same production as the TE that Colorado is losing to the portal. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Which is what Deion does.

He mainly replaces the same level of talent, with the same level of talent. It's a challenge to enhance your roster and build depth that way.

But hey whatever. If he wants to start all over at every turn, then that's on him. Going into 2nd year, there should be more stability with their coaching staff, NIL and roster. Let alone the fan base - they're on, then they're off, now they'll be back on.

It looks like he's just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic at this point.
