I don't think it is - it is money well-spent. It is ridiculous from a recruiting perspective. In a world of trying to attract million dollar players and million dollar donations, not sure how PR can be seen as ridiculous.

FIFYThat's what the Ward trip feels like. However there seems to be a lot of smoke around Nebraska and McCord now in the "national" spaces on Twitter.
Shit hes going to get damn near 6 milHeard it was 500k for every BIG win and a Million for a W vs CU
What the hell will our receivers do if the ball actually hits them in the hands? I'm genuinely curious here!If we had gotten Cam Ward last time around, Scott Frost is still our coach.
Ward is a wet dream in a Mark Whipple offense.
Lifetime td:int ratio of 119:30. Nearly 14,000 yards and a 65% completion rate.
All of the other schools he seems to be considering (FSU, Oregon, OSU(?)) are ones where if they don’t win the national title, it will be seen as a failure of a season and he will take the blame.Ward should be #1 on our board and it isn’t even close.
The problem is that Ward is #1 on about 20 schools’ boards.
Why would he go to Nebraska?
Will these move the needle in our direction? Probably not. There’s lots of colleges that can make the same claims. But, if we are flying out there to see him, it means there must be at least SOME interest.
- Can offer a sizable NIL package. As big as OSU? Probably not. But at least serviceable.
- We are slated to have an elite defense next season. WSU had roughly the 80-90th ranked defense depending on how you look at it. We should be top 15. Cam Ward actually makes our defense better, oddly enough, by keeping them off the field.
- Our WR aren’t world-beaters, however they are probably better than WSU.
- Our offensive line is actually not that bad.
- And perhaps the most important thing he is looking for, he probably wants to prove himself in an offense that can show scouts he can translate it to the next level against good competition.
Dream big fellas.
We may be ugly, but we're easy! This is far worse than every other player in the marketplace. We're probably going to be the ugly chick at bar close

We're still thinking the OL was bad?Why would he come here when he can go somewhere with a good o line not get killed and make the same or more?
Shit he’s not getting paidHeard it was 500k for every BIG win and a Million for a W vs CU
Well it wasn't good better yes. He can still go to place with a better o line. Better from what it was isn't much. Running game still shoved and pass blocking was still pretty bad I my opinion. We're still thinking the OL was bad?
OK
a fundraiser - coincidental timing, I'm sure
One would think so. Certainly the most logical destination. He’s going to Ohio right
They're oddly busy today
(also - Knuckles... would)
Ohio St is absolutely getting a portal QB. If they were happy with their QB room McCord wouldn't be in the portal.Gabriel is going to Oregon and Ohio state has a 5 star on campus, LK, and the #1 overall qb in this year’s class signing with them in two weeks. So, a transfer has to be aware of that too when deciding to pick them. Washington and notre dame are also likely of the board.
I'm not sure there's a G5 QB out there that isn't better than what we got."You think he's better than what we've got?"
Put the crack pipe down man.I don't think we should roll into next year with the same room we currently have. That being said, give me Chubba over Shapen.
I don't see what you changed.FIFY
