Wisconsin Game Week

During HOL’s post game show, Callahan said Purdy was slated to have surgery on his groin this week. He held up his phone and said something to the effect of, “I can tell you, his entire family was shocked he went into the game.”
Given the choice between the family with 2 big-time QBs being shocked about their suited-up son playing in a football game vs. Dean misinterpreting or having a questionable source for his info, I'm gonna kinda lean towards the latter.

He was throwing it to Kemp. Coleman was supposed to run an underneath route like the one Bullock ran. He let the defender slow him down and then did not finish the route. Because he stood there, his defender was also there - right in the line of the pass, The play was designed to take that defender toward the middle of the field.

Rhule confirmed this.

I know others have mentioned it but I wonder how many of the interceptions are from Baby G's WR not being in the right spot or running the wrong routes.

Rhule mentioned in his presser that the QBs need to stop throwing to a spot and expecting the WR to be there.

Or maybe Dean got the quote exactly right, and they were indeed shocked, but people are misinterprating the comment as the family being upset. You can be surprised about something without being pissed it happened.

I still think it wasn't a bad throw, I think he was throwing to Malachi and he wasn't supposed to or MC wasn't expecting it

I'd have to look at it again. In real time it looked bad.

From this angle, I think it's pretty clear he was throwing to Kemp, and it wasn't a terrible throw. As Carm said, if Coleman doesn't give up on his route, leaving his defender right in the way, Kemp has a decent chance of catching it.

Ah yeah, I think you're right and had MC not led his guy directly into the route I think it's 6. But honestly it looked like MC could have caught it too lol

Would have been a TD if 6'4" Coleman could get off the gd line of scrimmage. Little Mcguire has been ass this year
