I’d like to see Caleb Benning in Hugehog’s spot. Dude has a nose for the ball and is also a sure tackler. Good instincts. He’s probably like Rex where he’s still a year away, but I’d like to see his role expand if Hugehog remains down.
He was in concussion protocol last game. No idea if he’s out yet. Damon has been off air all week, assume Vrz related.

Just a guess, but sometimes I think the betting public overreacts to injury news. Likely a flood of money on Nebraska covering within 24 hours of Michigan State announcing their starting LT and best offensive linemen is out for the Nebraska game.

Is his absence worth that many points? Who knows.

This has a Michigan State cover and outright win written all over it. Sparty 31 - Nebraska 26.

Under the previous staff, I’d agree. A game that looks like a likely win that turns into a close loss.

I don’t think this will be the cake walk some do, but I don’t see Nebraska losing.

Outside of the bizarre Covid season and Maryland’s first team with Mike Locksley, Frost was never close to a double digit favorite in a Big Ten game.

I’m not going to research 4+ years of shit football, but that doesn’t sound right at all.

Even as a 7-9 point favorite, which to me is close to double digits, he’d still find a way to lose.

That, more than the spread itself, was my point. Michigan State looks to be an inferior team on paper and this is exactly the type of game Frost & Co would find a way to lose in epic fashion. Have to win this game, IMO.
