Well at least he can in a controlled camp atmosphere vs HS dbs with no pass rush.
Kid may end up great but this type of hyperbole is what ends up having message board folks dogging a coach when the kid doesn’t start as a freshman somewhere.
3 years from now it will be “Coach (insert QB coach name) can’t even get this kid ready, he would’ve been a starter 2 years ago as a sophomore in high school.”
Nevermind that the reason the message board person thinks that is because he read it from a second hand account of a team manager on a message board and is now passing it along as fact.
The kid may have a great arm. In no way can you watch a 14/15 year old throw at a 1 day camp vs no rush and HS DBs and then assume he can start for a Big 10 team 3 months later.
FFS I’ll say it one more time: he meant based on arm talent alone.Having a stronger arm than anyone on our roster and being the best quarterback are two very different statements. Throw God can throw the ball damn near a mile..but he is a shitty QB
It was a poor way of saying that he has a better arm than our current QB’s, coming from a person who sees our actual QB’s do the exact same drills “in a controlled atmosphere” against walk-on DB’s and no pass rush.
You guys ever wonder why every person with inside info on RSS stops posting? Don’t turn this board into RSS.
