Turd was really good in the presser. Really well spoken, looks to have a clear plan on how he will lead, and that plan sounds excellent. The presser upped my opinion of this hire. We got an intelligent, well spoken, experienced guy who also has NU feels and determination to do this job right. I can see why he checked all the boxes for the search group (and we know the search group now).
Turd could just be a hell of a speaker and salesman - although those skills are important to his job so not necessarily bad things - but I also think he just may have the other qualities we sorely needed in a successful long term AD for Husker athletics. I'm sold.
On a personal note, I never saw anything bullshitty from Turd when I played with him. He was a solid guy and great leader. You could tell he was going to be a good one right away. T.O. and the staff felt the same. I remember one time during a scrimmage I blew Turd up on a crack-back block. He never saw me coming from the outside (was lined up at WR) and I put him on the deck. After the play, T.O. took me aside and said "we know you can block and do that - you don't have to do it any more like that to prove it to us. We can't afford to get a guy like Turd injured in a scrimmage". I was just playing football the way I played football, nothing personal. But I did get put in my place a bit by T.O., lol.
