Is that serious though because I think that's pretty important to keep Frost accountable. I don't know Turd's personality at all. Coaches can still have a life obviously but if that shit is affecting his coaching abilities on Saturdays or even during the week then it needs to be held in check.

Honestly probably would've preferred Klassy. I've liked how much that dude has been leaning into the NIL stuff. Having trouble really caring about this too much though. Sure people are going to bitch about the wrestling program thing a lot tho.

Hockey has made it to the Frozen 4, had a number 1 ranking and multiple tournament appearances. Baseball just got new facilities as well as softball and are doing well (baseball at least). Soccer made the tourney recently, and basketball has been real close (excluding last year) to tourney appearances. Also built Baxter arena and outfitted Caniglia for a class soccer stadium
i'd be utterly disappointed in all i gave to RRS if someone hasn't tagged the hankster in a "Turd to cancel DONU wrestling ASAP" thread.

Is this deemed a "safe" hire because he played football at Nebraska? There are plenty of reasons why this isn't a safe hire, no experience with a football program, let alone one with the issues NU currently has. No experience at a P5 school (which honestly I don't think is a big deal).
To me, I am not sure it is "safe," but I definitely like the hire. I like that Turd hasn't said shit about NU football and isn't always trying to get his opinion heard like other former players. I love what he's done for UNO athletics moving to D1. Yeah, he axed wrestling and football, and the wrestling program was done very, very dirty, but in the long run it has been the right move. Someone already posted above the success he has overseen at UNO.
He got them into a new conference, he's hired very competent coaches, and he's fundraised like a motherfucker which can't be easy when you are talking about a school like UNO which plays second fiddle to Pickle Smoochers in Omaha and third in the state once you add in NU. Add on top of that axing football and wrestling, well he was behind the 8-ball and found a way to recover and even excel.
I think he'll do well.

Nobody is really going to give a damn who they AD is if we win football games.
I will say this: Turd made some tremendous hires for the hockey program at UNO. Hiring a national championship winning coach like Dean Blais far exceeded everyone's expectations. And then he hires a guy like Mike Gabinet who is very young but looks like he could be an absolute stud. His teams play hard and win more often than not in the SEC of college hockey. Add in that he hired Jason Mims for soccer and when Mims left he hired Bob Warming.
It's a different ballgame for Turd now, but he had a long term vision for UNO and executed it which seems like a positive indicator for him being successful.
I'm not saying it's a great hire or all sunshine because that will be determined in the future.
