Rhule is probably knew this was happening and the reason why he brought Snow in as a consultant. Probably playing 3D chess while everyone else is playing checkers. Or, I'm wishful thinking and Rhule is clueless.

Another year at Nebraska wasn’t going to do much to elevate Tony White’s profile. But if he can go to FSU and turn around that dumpster fire, it could significantly boost his chances of landing a head coaching job.

I agree that losing Tony White isn’t inherently good or bad, but I don’t see how it’s a bad look for Rhule when it was clear from the start that White wasn’t here for the long haul. Everyone knew he had higher aspirations and his departure was always a possibility once the opportunity arose.

Those using terms like "devastating," "catastrophic," and "disastrous" are being overly dramatic. Things aren’t that extreme. Some perspective is needed, and it might be time to dial back the theatrics and approach the situation with a bit more maturity.

The fanbase has a weird mentality where we feel we deserve elite things, but also feel we will only luck into those things. I know people who are like that about life in general and they can be insufferable. Entitlement combined with a low sense of self worth. It's a toxic combo.

This time two years ago, fans were questioning Knighton's hiring and were wondering how good White's D would work in the Big Ten. They wanted Elijah Robinson instead.

Perhaps Rhule will muck up the replacement hires. We won't know until we know. But beyond an emergency hiring with Butler to replace Cooper, historically it seems his replacement hires work. He had to replace coaches at both Temple and Baylor and it was all part of the journey to get to a successful Year 3. I guess we'll see whose names come up.

I wonder how people would feel if we have DC Phil Snow and DL Coach Frank Okam (Rhule's DL coach at Baylor and currently coaching DL at Toledo) on staff.
