Tony T to Oregon?

I thought there was an article about him trying to convert non christians or something as well as the homosexuality issues. I could be wrong.
Dude you are so off base here. What you are spewing in this thread makes it obvious that you are more bigoted towards Christian’s than Ron Brown is towards anyone else.

Have you heard Ron Brown speak? I’ll give you a brief rundown of his core beliefs:
  • He believes in Christianity and the Gospel. That includes spreading the Gospel.
  • He believes that the only way to be saved is Christianity.
  • He believes that homosexuality is a sin but is very clear that he loves and respects them because that is what he feels he has been called to do.
  • Above all, he preaches “love you neighbor” and “forgiveness.” Which is why even though Ameer Abdullah’s Muslim faith contradicted his own, he took him under his wing, respected him, and coached the shit out of him.
You should look up that last bullet point. Seems you it may help you.

No way, you can’t say faggot on RSS and I just said faggot. And @rss428 is trying to claim Ron Brown will get in trouble for not supporting the lifestyle and choices of faggots. Anybody that would persecute or prosecute RB for not believing in a faggot’s way of life is probably a faggot that needs counseling and needs to find God.
Can't say fuck off on RSS either and I say with all my heart: "FUCK OFF"

The people who drag Brown for being a "bigot" are always projecting.

How can you say that after we just landed one of the best OC this year and one of the best WR coaches in the nation?
Some people just have such a blind hatred for Frost (and apparently Brown for some dumb reason) that they will find a way to steer literally every thread to be something he's done wrong.

The results have sucked. That's why half the coaching staff is being replaced. The replacements have been above expectations.

Are you saying one of the best OCs this year or just best OC? If the latter, I thought we all learned our lesson of overhyping a coach based on one year.

Every coach that is hired at NU is the "best" or the #1 choice on the board.

I would just like to mention that I'm about 99.98% sure that Ron Brown is not the only outwardly Christian college football coach who has old fashioned views about homosexuality so kids are dealing with it in multiple places.

Ferentz's kid is basically an out and out racist piece of trash and Cockeye still has players willing to play there.

The Pirate and Mr. "I'm a man. I'm 40." are bonafide loons living in another reality. Dabo is a caveman.

Most of the profession (and the world for that matter, just look at this message board for instance) is chock-full of flawed humans. So, I think we will somehow survive Ron Brown.

That being said I hope we do like a previous poster suggested and go for a better hire than Ronny knowing that we can name him if we miss.

Spot on.

My only thought regarding your last paragraph is that I believe that for a running backs coach, development is more important than recruiting. Running backs with the raw athletic ability to perform at a power-5 level are honestly a dime a dozen. That’s why the NFL no longer drafts RB’s early at the rate they used to. They are more interested in fresh legs, durability, and athleticism and they know they can do the rest.

I don’t have the data or the time to back this up, but I would guess that in terms of recruiting services, stars do not translate to production at a higher frequency at the RB position than nearly every other position.

That’s why I think Ron Brown would be a good hire. RB development > RB recruiting.
