Tony T to Oregon?

I just think he's a problem waiting to happen. That's all. It's a little weird that so many of you can't see that. Nebraska has taken enough abuse from the national media. It doesn't need anything else bad to happen until they can win some damn games.
I don’t understand what you think is going to happen?

And people everywhere are clapping back at cancel culture...politically correct to woke to cancelled…the 2% of fringe will get pushed back on pretty hard.

Tip of the hat to Netflix for not removing Chappelles special…huge move. And pretty amazing that both Chappelle and Louis C.K. Are nominated for Emmys.
I mean Louis CK is basically proof positive that "cancel culture" has no meaningful impact on society.

What's tough is that being firm in your own opinions, if it goes against society in 2021, is "bad". Feels wrong on so many angles regardless of what you believe in.
I agree, but unfortunately that's the world we live in now.

The very worst thing would be he finds out one of the players is gay and decides to try fixing him. I can only imagine how much fun the national media would have writing those articles. Obviously it's a worse case scenario, but can we say it would 100% not happen?

i'd say there's about a 99.9% to 100% chance that it would not happen

Well if you guys insist it's not gonna happen, I'll take your word for it. Just doesn't seem worth hiring him given some of the other concerns. There still hasn't been anyone tell me who's going to help Mickey recruit for the offense. Really hope Raiola catches on to recruiting quickly.

Not sure Dawson sticking around is in the cards. Dude wants back into the NFL.
IIRC, the last time he left much of the justification for his departure hinged on meeting a certain # of years to earn the NFL retirement package. I wonder if he's satisfied that requirement yet? It may be a key to his retention OR his departure.

I think he needed an additional year when he left and he got it. But extra years don't hurt him

Pretty sure he needs more years.

And an increasing number of them are Muslim.
Has this proven to be an issue for RB in the past? You can say that his and Ameer's relationship is only one example - but it's the only example of the situation. The anecdote that you are spreading has literally no basis other than you don't like him and what he believes.

Listen, I am far from having a "close" relationship with RB. But I have met him on multiple occasions and had personal conversations with him. The pastor my church (where I am on staff part-time) is literally Ron Brown's mentor - the two of them talk nearly ever day. He has spoke at our men's retreats and he has preached here on two different occasions - one of them being shortly after George Floyd and he spoke on race and political issues. I know what Ron believes and I know how he feels about the issues you are concerned with. I can firmly tell you that he would not handle the situation in the way that you fear. Yes, I can say it would 100% not happen. I guarantee you that he is more tolerant of you and your beliefs than you are of him and his beliefs...

Ultimately I think this conversation is all for naught. I believe that Ron is happy in the position that he was in and isn't too interested in a full-time assistant gig. And Frost seemingly agrees. His comments regarding Ron the other night on Sports Nightly were pretty telling, in my opinion. He respects him and knows that he has value to the program, but not likely in a assistant coaching role. Now, obviously things have changed since then and we are needing to add another coach. So who knows...

Maybe we are just waiting for the NFL regular season to end and then Jeff Nixon is gonna come coach here.
