As depleted as this roster was after Frost left, Rhule did a pretty good job filling in some spots in the transfer portal. In my opinion it’s pretty hard to build a roster out of the portal because MOST of the guys that are in there are transferring for a reason…… they aren’t playing at the original school. Desmond said repeatedly this weekend he doesn't see the big deal. If he was a tOSU alumn instead, he'd see the big deal I bet. @BIG TONE SOPRANO I doubt the death penalty. NCAA has been moving away from punishing players and focusing the hits on the Coaches. This might move to some penalties for the institution, but I doubt they will be so harsh to really impact the players beyond maybe bowl bans and taking away wins.

I think Desmond might change his tune as more details get out. This seems pretty clearly in the Astros/Spygate lane where this is seems like a place where every league brings down the hammer to a certain extent. NCAA struggling to stay relevant with a grudge against Harbaugh seems like not a great place to be for UM.
