I'm not particularly attached to that explanation, but it wouldn't shock me to see the NCAA giving no clarity in this and fucking over recruits as hard as possible

Until they get clarity from the NCAA on how super seniors will count for next year, it seems like it could actually be a legit excuse.

I was of the opinion that it was a dumb excuse to give to him. However, it probably is the case here. If super seniors count next year, you can only take 14 kids. If they don’t, you’re at 28. That’s a pretty big difference and it makes sense why the NCAA would drag their feet on providing clarity. I mean, why would you?

We might only have 20 scholarships to offer this year. Maybe less than that. People have mentioned that it could be as low as 14.
