Board is slow, but I saw a HH hype video and it got me thinking. We’ve got a 5th year senior freak athlete who switched positions. He appears athletically nearly perfect for what he will be asked to do, and despite his shortcomings at QB, the guy was an absolute warrior his season as a starter. That being said, he is learning a new position, has never really blocked until a few months ago, and most importantly, plays for Nebraska where we can’t have nice things.

What is your realistic expectation of how he does this year?

Athletically, I think he's got the talent to be All-B1G or better. However, considering his lack of experience that you noted, I'd be stunned if he got that. I could see him (and Lindenmeyer, potentially Macway) being consistent chain movers and good for a big play or two a game. I think we've got a sneaky good TE room right now.

I legitimately believe that he is the best athlete on the team. I also believe he is the kind of guy that puts in the work to be great. But he is lacking experience...that's what holds him back from being elite this year.

I'll say that he has over 350 yards and 5 TDs.

He will be this year's "Rahmir Johnson will catch balls out of the backfield".

Something we heard about a ton in the off-season but never saw much of it in games.

I'm sure we'll spend all summer hearing how Heinrich Hunter Hearst Helmsley will do this and that, but by November it won't have materialized in any significant way. I'll say a few catches then a monster pro day testing after the season.

If we’re to be a 9 win team, then the best athlete on the team and a 5th year senior should be vying for all-conference honors. I understand he switched positions, but I’d argue he’s more prepared for it than a typical position switch. Hes been cross-training for years, played qb where he understood the assignments for his current position, and made the full time switch late last year which gave him game reps and all offseason. It seems different than, say, Cody Glenn, who switched to a different side of the ball. He was still stellar.

All conference 1st team is essentially an all American, but if he’s truly a top 3 athlete on the team he should be vying for 2nd/3rd team all conference.

17 catches 220 yards, 2 TDs. Only caveat is he does have straight-line speed, if he maxes out maybe he could turn some 15-20 yard plays into 40-60 yard plays if he catches the ball in the open field. I don't expect that though. Id imagine he starts slow and contributes later in the season.

Yeah, and he could be tough to handle for a LB down the seam, similar to Matt Herian.

In the right system with a patient organization that can let him sit for a couple years, he’s going to be an NFL teams wet dream as an undrafted free agent.

I could see him having a meh year stats-wise, get picked up by the chiefs as an UFA, sit and learn and develop for 2-3 seasons under Kelce, and then compete for PT.

Obviously what sets Kelce apart from other NFL TE’s is his instincts, ball skills, and the guy throwing him the ball, but I would argue HH is a much better athlete than prime Kelce and it’s not even close.
