All jokes aside, I actually was not aware that people actually steal cars in real life, just thought that was just a GTA video game thing. Learned about life through that experience.

Maybe advertising the fact that you store multiple thousands of dollars worth of tools in your garage might be best left to one’s imagination.

I mean you have to store them somewhere but maybe keeping that quiet might help.

Not the case. Brought the work truck home which was not in the garage. Most often stays near the farm.

Yea it sucks but at least us rich TPB members have great insurance with low deductibles

It sounds like you were targeted. I wouldn't be surprised if it happens again. Time to up the security system and put a few air tags on your valuable items. I would leave a bait purse in plain site with a tag in there if you really want to get some payback...cough I mean justice.

This raises some good points and questions.

1st are these guys jamming internet servers on wireless security? Not once did one of my cameras go off.

2nd. Do the air tags have a long battery life or is there something real small that does?

My truck got broken into at my old apartment near Indian creek golf course. Used a screwdriver on my exterior lock and broke my console and tried to Hotwire it. Good thing they suck at it because I still have my baby

Damn that's crazy! I have lived in decent but non-"nice" neighborhoods in Omaha for the past 10 years or so, even parked my car outside in previous apartment and house every day, and never had anything like that happen.

We stayed at the Omaha Marriott by Topgolf and the mall a couple weekends ago. My brothers and I woke up before the kids to go golf and my youngest brothers SUV passengers window was broke out. They stole all his wife's meds and her nursing id card. Cops told us to go check the camera's at the front desk and then call the insurance company. Nobody came to take pictures and they really didn't give a fuck.

Our officer friend basically told us crimes like that are extremely low on their totem pole

Twice in a week our vehicles were robbed.

I had stolen $4000+ in tools a week ago and last night the wife had medication along with her work badge stolen.

Both instances took place in our driveway.

Disclosure: we live in a nice neighborhood.

This sucks and I am in no way claiming that is your fault. But isn't $4,000 worth of tools a lot to leave in your vehicle?
