Seems like a dude that was so highly sought after and now its ghost town. With all the injuries at OT you would think you would hear his name brought up atleast once?
I think we'll start hearing more about Brix next spring. He came from a pretty low level of Cockeye football and had really not pass-blocked much in his life before college. He is facing much better talent and had to learn a great deal. Every school that recruited him knew he was going to take time to develop.I asked this in the portal thread because we seem to be up in arms over OT, probably should have posted it in this thread. Rhule said his name today
Rhule likes what he’s seen from NU’s offensive line
***Rhule said Elijah Pritchett still had a lot of work to do, but he had all the talent in the world. Pritchett is still adjusting to new life at Nebraska, but Rhule’s message was that he better get used to that type of change before he gets to the NFL.
Rhule said Pritchett was “willing and eager” and put in the work on the field and in the classroom. “He should get better and better and better.”
***Tyler Knaak is having a great spring and is really coming along at left tackle. Rhule said Knaak embodied everything he wanted the program to be about.
***Rhule added that as soon as Grant Seagren “decides he’s a scholarship player,” the sky is the limit for him. He’s got all the talent to be a starter, Rhule said, but he just needed to put it in his mind that he’s a starter.
***Rhule said others like Grant Brix, Brock Knutson, and Preston Taumua had all flashed at tackle this spring.
He’s in the spring of his true freshman year, right? I don’t care how highly rated you were, if we’re hearing or counting on freshman on the OL, something has gone wrong.I asked this in the portal thread because we seem to be up in arms over OT, probably should have posted it in this thread. It’s the Nebraska way. Fans can’t accept that linemen should not be expected to contribute right away in the same fashion a WR or RB would be. he’s a rFR, but your point remains. It’s amazing that our fan base has seen us consistently fuck over young, highly rated OL by playing them too early, yet still ask why the next young, highly rated OL isn’t in the mix yet. He’s in the spring of his true freshman year, right? I wouldn’t mind putting a bitch slapping on the NolesI hope we get to play them in the post-season
I really don't think FSU has a chance at the playoffs this season.I hope we get to play them in the post-season
NFL talent with a pee wee backgroundI think we'll start hearing more about Brix next spring. He came from a pretty low level of Cockeye football and had really not pass-blocked much in his life before college. He is facing much better talent and had to learn a great deal. On3 always projected Brix as an IOL in college. Some of the schools he visited, like Notre Dame, told him he was an IOL or a swing lineman (about the same as saying you are an IOL). He pretty much dropped the schools which didn't see him as an OT. I still think it is possible he ends up as a guard before it's all over.Feet slow has to move to guard? No progress reports in Spring, got it.
Only a RS freshman. Gotta give him timeI asked this in the portal thread because we seem to be up in arms over OT, probably should have posted it in this thread. Whats the word on Grant Brix?
