I agree that it wasn’t perfect and yes, there are areas within the unit that can still improve noticeably, but this reads more like a coach upset that his special teams coach was getting the credit for improving a unit that has been hot garbage for years…..while the other two units showed little improvement (offense) or regressed (defense).
Odd choice of words and to me puts the final touches on Ekler being gonzo.
Part of my job is hiring and firing managers and I’m always interested to hear explanations for ‘Why?’ a candidate has been with 5 different firms in 8 years.
Sometimes it makes perfect sense. A geographical or family tie that keeps a candidate in an area and creates the need to hop around. Most of the time it’s something else. Sometimes advancement and money, which I can understand to a degree, often (including an awful interview I did yesterday) it’s a conflict or disagreement between the individual and his company or co workers.
Ek seems like a guy who bores with things quickly and needs a reset to stay engaged.
This was my interpretation too. Lol
Just goes to show everyone processes information differently.
It’s my daily life.
My best performers on the management side have serious issues I have to manage around or deal with. I’m weeding them out with folks who may not quite be at their level yet but don’t have the drama associated with them, which is a net gain in my book.

I share your sentiment, but I think you know that unfortunately even a really good season will not make the off season enjoyable.
There are a group of fans that simply cannot enjoy any level of success without dissection and teeth gnashing and will not accept any level of failure. Their voices must be heard or you’re a denier and not a ball knower.
I would love nothing more than having a great season and Rhule making us all look like retards, sadly it doesn’t look like that will happen.
I think it's time for some disincentives to make things more interesting. You don't make a bowl game -$1M, you don't get to 10 wins -$500k, etc... ☠️

He could also consider hiring someone else elite at the job, since he had the funds to make the previous guy one of the two highest paid ST coaches in the country.
Yeah makes no sense. It’s been a theme. One of the more amusing ones was heading into the season he said out DL was going to be hell on wheels. Shrug
