I watched him play earlier this season in game 1....hes very athletic and really good at basketball....he wasn't close to the best player in the game i watched nor the best player on his team....

When Bo got rejected on his recruiting staffers for help, him and Jamrog pivoted to asking donors for help with private jets to try and be more efficient with their time that way. I can't remember which DB coach it was that came from Tennessee, but he was really bitching about how they had to drive an hour to Omaha, be at Eppley an hour prior, to take a commercial flight that many times had a connection to go see some recruit. "By the time we are pushing back from the gate, I would already be leaving a top recruits high school if I were in Knoxville with their private planes."

At one point I had the powerpoint they presented, it was kind of cool. They ended up getting preliminary access to one or two PJs for big recruiting times so the few weeks in December, and a few other weeks. That of course led to other stories about what was going on on those jets lol.
Wait, so they did gain some access to the jets and than used them inappropriately and we are placing that blame on the AD?

The AD was not involved in any aspect of the private jet situation. The AD rejected recruiting staffers that Bo asked for, and then allotted more of them to Riley when hired. The AD never denied private jets to Bo due to thinking he or his staff would use them inappropriately, so I'm not sure what you are getting at.

I gotcha. Just in general, any large organization I have been involved in you don’t just get handed over resources unless you’ve shown the ability, drive, and organization to perform and deliver the return. Bo and his staff were the most laziest and unorganized staff I’ve seen at Nebraska. They weren’t even maximizing the staff they had so not sure why there would be an expectation to deliver more staffers for them at an expense to the University.

I guess the question is... Tom Osborne, Bill Moos, and Troy Dannen would have given Bo those resources to try and get him over the hump. Eichorst is the outlier to not give him them, and then gave it to someone different.

I'd be curious about how you say they weren't even maximizing the staff they had. They were basically having to have Jamrog create a Special Teams gameplan and relay it to Els to talk to the team during practice and games about.

Bo had his issues I'm not trying to defend some of those, we just had a guy that wanted a couple more staffers to help take the load off his staffers that were on the field on Saturdays while winning 9 or 10 games a year. And then you gave them and more employees to the next guy with a bigger assistant budget.

Clearly Eichorst disliked Bo and was trying to kneecap him. I don’t have any inside info on this, but pretty clearly the case based on how everything went down.
