I don’t think I’ve ever seen an external OC take over mid-year, especially one that runs a significantly different system. I have a feeling it’s gonna be pretty ugly
I'll take 20% of a Holgerson offense over 100% of a Satterfield offense anyday of the week. Especially with only 3 games left. Getting to a bowl game is crucial now ..as they should be able to practice and install more of the offense with bowl game prep ..

So who is losing a staff job? Thomas? He seems pretty superfluous at this point.
There is no limit on staff size any longer - just on how many staff can recruit off campus. You cvan have an unlimited number of coaches, analysts, etc, all coaching at practice and at games.

IS THIS A JOKE? WHAT THE FUCK?!?!? I DO NOT HATE IT!

I know Rhule finds a lot of criticism among fans, especially as of late. Such is the case of the HC of Nebraska. But this is just another impressive thing he's done. Usually when a team gets rid of their OC, they end up with some position coach getting his first shot at play calling. We just dropped ours and ended up with one of the better offensive minds of the past 2 decades calling plays. Will it work out? Time will tell. But still a hell of a move regardless.

Also, you have to admire Rhules loyalty. He knows he has a job to do and did it, but you could see it in him when he announced it how uncomfortable it made him to make it public that his friend is being demoted.

There's something to be said about a leader that's truly willing to do the hard stuff. If the wins follow as hoped, Rhule is going to have undeniable buy in.

Satt is classy too. Rhule said Satt vocally supported the change in the coach's meeting because the offense needed to score more so the kids could win, and volunteered to translate the jargon we were using in the playbook into "Holgorsen-speak".

Both are part of adults being in charge
