It’s a sign that Rhule holds everyone accountable. Just because you’re a friend doesn’t change the fact that the offense was stagnant and a change was needed. If a player isn’t cutting it on the field they get changed out.
Satt is classy too. Rhule said Satt vocally supported the change in the coach's meeting because the offense needed to score more so the kids could win, and volunteered to translate the jargon we were using in the playbook into "Holgorsen-speak".

That will help.

These guys ALL know how this works... If they've been in the coaching biz for more than 5 minutes.

So who is losing a staff job? Thomas? He seems pretty superfluous at this point.

People always find something to complain about
Not complaining in the slightest. I am glad the move was made because I don't see it getting worse. The only names I've ever dropped for a potential OC spot are all head coaches (tyson helton and joe moorhead specifically) so I like the hire.

My question is in response to the process. I've never heard of a head coach sucessfully bringing a new OC in off the street in week 9. This is handled in the offseason 99/100 times. You have to ask, is Rhule just being a maverick or is he just desparately thrashing around?

Think he's just a maverick. He's made enough money to put his great grandkids through school. Think he just doesn't gaf about norms anymore

I wonder if at some level there is a bit of relief for Satt. He has to have known he wasn't getting the job done. I'm sure he was just as frustrated as everyone else. Yes, it's always a bit of a gut punch to be demoted, but he might enjoy just focusing on the tight ends and letting someone else take all the heat for the performance of the offense.

Holy shit, having a November bye week is huge. This change would’ve been nearly impossible without it. Love it!
