Man, this sucks so bad. When I opened up TPB this evening and saw this thread at the top of the board, my heart sunk.

Didn't know him personally off-board, but I think we all felt like we knew him, even those of us who didn't IRL. He is a Husker board legend, and I feel terribly for his wife, family, kids and grandkids and all who knew him. Life is too short, and losing a guy like BBTown/Elizabeth Reed really stinks. You could just tell he was a beyond solid, great dude. RIP Denny.

I could make a 2nd bot named Bomber who’s only job is to correct grammar 😆

FWIW, Denny told me that he deliberately left the grammar schtick behind here on tBP.

However … if we could turn that bot loose over on Tater Island . Man, oh man, a heavenly Diet Dr. Pepper and Captain Morgan might be raised towards our earthly realm.

Ugh…this is incredibly sad. You are missed Bomber! RIP brother 🙁
Hi everyone I really don't like writing this, but I found out this morning board member Elizabeth Reed passed away last night. It was very unexpected and as of right now I don't know anything else.

For those that don't know he was also BBtown Bomber in Rivals and Tater Island. He was a great dude and one of the biggest Husker fans I knew.

This really sucks. The more I think about it, there probably wouldn't even be a tPB without Denny. Whenever that whole fight on Rivals went down between him, Dean, Huskercubs, @HuskerDocCo and whoever else was involved, that really motivated us even more to make a new board and get out of there. He was always so passionate about whatever he was posting about. I know I inadvertently pissed him off multiple times, but he always calmed down and was a really great person.

He was just in Denver recently. I was supposed to bring him a TPB hat to match his polo and our schedules just didn't match up for it to work out. I really wish I would have made it work.
Last summer he came to Maine and I was trying to connect with him. Gave him some tips and such but think his schedule got tighter than expected so we didn’t end up linking up. Wish we had. But grateful to have been able to help him enjoy that trip even a smidge more and also for his contributions to the community.

Hey everyone, here is a link to funeral info.

Thank you. I'd like to send some flowers from TPB. If anyone wants to go in with me please let me know.

Devasted right now. I was fortunate to hang out with him at his home in Scottsbluff a couple of years ago. I made a trip to Omaha and at his invitation drove out to Scottsbluff. We hung out over a 2 day period and had a fabulous rib-eye BBQ and some of Mary Ann's margaritas.

I was supposed to see him again last summer but my Vietnam buddy in San Francisco had a heart procedure and so I had to cancel. I'm sitting here looking at our last texts and feeling like this is all a bad dream. RIP Denny. Thanks for your kindness and hospitality.
