Rees Offered $2M/year to be Bama’s OC

I could get down to my high school weight if I stopped eating cheeseburgers and exercised 2 hours a day too.
People do forget Frost worked his way through the ranks. He couldn’t have been a lazy fuck the whole time. Coming home was the worst thing for him and Nebraska. It turned into living out his college days again. I say all of this as a guy who wanted Frost fired after year two. I still think he is a quality offensive mind.

But also it was reported be would literally not show up to meetings
I never heard that. I would be surprised coach O would let that fly. I’m also surprised Pelini would do that because he always seemed like the type of guy who wanted to coach without doing all the other bs, but maybe he was there for one more pay day. Either way I don’t feel sorry for him because he made some major coin.

This just absolutely shocks me from Bama’s point of view. Is Rees really that hot of a name at OC?
I will say this. Saban is also the best at coaching his coaches up. I’m sure he will get the most out of Rees. It’s a smart move for Rees too. He got paid and if he is successful he is on his way to a good power 5 job.

Ross Dellenger at SI had it

"Ultimately, the decision resulted in an unmitigated disaster. Orgeron and Pelini rarely talked, those who worked around them say. Pelini refused to follow orders, even missing meetings or arriving late."

But he got paid like $4 million to go away so Bo won again in the end

Lane Kiffen and Steve Sarkisian to Bill O'Brien and Tommy Rees doesn't seem like and upward trajectory in OC quality, but what do I know?

That’s crazy. I always thought they were boys.
