This doesn't worry me as much. If Smothers decides to transfer after the spring and Nebraska needs to add a guy there will be a huge wave of QBs in the portal after the spring.

Let me be clear - I want Purdy. But this is a pretty good take and I agree. We have our "guy" with CT. Getting a quality back up and QB for the future is not our highest need right now. You are absolutely right - there will be another huge wave after spring and we can make that a priority then.
