Nebraska was a competent QB/QB coach, OL coach and just half assed special teams play away from being undefeated and in the playoff hunt.

Instead they're 3-7, because the head coach is a cunt that refused to address the above issues when they were blatantly obvious after year 2.

Not sure those are the issues that are gonna keep us out of playoff contention.

I suppose I don’t watch field goal kickers miss field goals and think that a special teams coach fixes that issue. I don’t watch Cerni miss his target by 40 yards and think that a special teams coach fixes that. Or watch the other guy have 4 kicks under 15 yards and think to myself that a special teams coach fixes that.

I’m not really looking at the OL and thinking coaching was 100% the problem. I don’t think talent is the issue either.

PJ Fleck has won a lot more games than frost because his players buy into what he's selling no matter how fucking corny it looks to you or me. Rarely do his teams hold a talent advantage against the opposition. Frosts teams come out flat and or can't find a rythm 75% of the time. That's mostly coaching.

As far as the OL goes I find it hard to believe every recruiting service whiffed on every single high 3* and 4* currently on the roster. Again, that's coaching and development.

Frost better work the transfer portal hard and hope to god the portal doesn't work over his roster as well. Last year's and this years recruiting class leave a fucking lot to be desired.

We could have easily been a 1-2 loss team this season, but next year will be different. The defense won’t be as good and who knows if special teams or the offense will be much better? I’m still skeptical we make a bowl next year, but the assistant hires and transfers might change my mind.

I’m wondering if the crowds had something to do with it? He was fine kicking in empty stadiums. I know that part you can’t blame on the coaches. A question would be is why couldn’t we develop a guy like Cole Frahm or find a capable punter? Also why can’t we develop a punt return game of any kind? At one point this year we had problems fielding punts and we lost a lot of hidden yards. I do blame Frost for special teams because it’s been a problem for four years. I remember it being an issue for Pelini for one year but I’ll give him this he took a much bigger role in special teams and fixed it. Frost has never been able to figure it out for whatever reason.

I listed QB/QB coach, OL coach and half assed special teams unit away. You come at me asking if I truly thought we were only a QB coach and OL coach away from the playoff this year. Try to keep up.
