Playoffs Thread

I’m not really hating, he’s pretty good. Just nothing special.
I think he is the best of the final 4 qbs, but that isn’t saying much. So far in the playoffs you wouldn’t have found many college qbs who would have did better. He was streaky at KSU. When he was on he was very good. The one thing most people have been overlooking is how the OSU defense has been tearing these teams apart.

Imagine if Dylan had committed to us earlier in the process and we had gotten Ryan Wingo (which I think was a very real possibility had Dylan committed to us instead of UGA offer his decommit from OSU.

We would have never taken Neyor 🤢

Wingo and Barney would have stressed offenses so much east/west.

Think of all of those little dump offs where we were sooo close to breaking it loose but didn’t because our WR’s didn’t hold the block for quite long enough. Wingo is dynamic enough to get through a lot of those and turn a 1 yard loss into a 20 yard chunk.

It would have been much harder for defenses to sit in 2 high safeties all the time. Defenses would have had to flatten out to account for Wingo.

It would have opened things up for Banks to get more 1:1 jump balls.

But of course, we might have also been just average enough that Satterfield wouldn’t have been totally exposed and we would have kept him and never gotten Holgerson.

I suppose every blessing is a curse and every curse is a blessing.

Something I haven’t seen talked about:

Anyone else notice the amount of injuries happening these last couple rounds, especially this one?

Obviously physicality is a factor as these are generally the most physical teams in CFB that make it this far.

But I wonder if it being the 16th game for a lot of these guys plays a factor?

I know NFL plays more games but they also barely ever practice with pads in the NFL and have world-class injury prevention and recovery programs compared to CFB.

for sure in these games. Although I think it’s just the law of averages, just like the NFL. The more you play, the more opportunity for injury. I would like to see a study on the number of injuries for each 1/4 of the season, and if there is appreciable increase in the last 1/4
