One of the few knocks on him would be a lack of Big Ten coaching experience. BUT, that article shows how he did a deep dive to build a team that could beat Penn State. And then beat them. I feel like that quality about him bypasses a lot of that worry. Not to mention he was coaching in the middle of essentially Big Ten territory for years.
