FootballOfficial Visit Tracker Update 6/110 (updated to reflect cancellation of Jayden Warren 6/13 OV)
I decided to group by position and then date of visit within each position to try to give an idea of the tactics the visit dates suggest. Assuming we take a small class this fall.
Discussion of interest to Nebraska fans on last night's Gaytor Online chat
blonded001 asked, “Are we fading with CJ Bronaugh?"
BA: “Haven’t heard anything to signal that. He’s been a bit more tight lipped about schools (at least with me and media) that aren’t Neb. I wouldn’t say fading. I think he’s still going through his visits and trying to figure it all out. That’s been the plan heading into OV’s for him that I’ve heard.
CB: “That’s the vibe I’ve been getting, but someone close to him told me that’s just how he is. Even his parents don’t know what he’s going to do. Quiet kid who is keeping things close to vest. I was told his NIL from Florida wasn’t anything out of this world. Not bad but nothing leading as far as leading the pack. I was told Florida still likely has the best shot at flipping him though.”
“Lucas da Gaytor Mann asked, “Which CB flip do you guys feel better about? CJ Bronaugh or Brody Jennings?"
CB: “Good question. Slightly favoring Bronaugh.”
BA: “I’ve felt better about Bronaugh, but as much as I feel like a butthead saying it and really don’t mean to come off that way, you have to think the recent things with Jennings’ family make me think being close to home will be even more important than in the past.”
247 has taken Turnbull off their visitor list and suggest in the post below that Warren is not coming either (although he remains on their official list). Warren arrives at Houston today for a visit (they are his hometown school). Since Turnbull only had one OV scheduled (us), I am guessing his potential spot is gone. This will leave us with 5 visitors.
If Warren made a late move to Houston it would explain the addition of the Miles visit for 6/20.
Warren also set up a mid-week visit to Notre Dame next week
So, Alabama, a team with a coach that is going to probably be fired within the next year, and another team who you'd have to be clinically retarded to commit to. Got it.
Hearing Bubba Smallski from Thedford may be in town this weekend, 5’6 365. 18 flat 40 time, 9 inch standing broad jump, 3.5” vertical. Some think we are looking at him at TE, but NG is what Nebraska is thinking.
It doesn't. Last weekend was one of the bigger recruiting weekends I can ever remember. It was mostly focused on 2027 and 2028, though. They've been saying all along that the 2026 class was going to be small. One of the reasons the 6/13 weekend got smaller is that they believe that some of the spots are already taken after last weekend. I.e., we had a number of "Plan B" guys this weekend. I think we are still on track for a class of 15-16.
