Football Official Visit Tracker Update 6/110 (updated to reflect cancellation of Moses Sparks 6/13 OV)

Would probably have more offers if football coaches didn't see his height as 202 and weight at 118.

I am listing him as a safety. That is how Mizzou projects him to the NFL. Rivals lists him as a nickelback. He is a versatile athlete. This may represent concern that Devin Jackson doesn't make it to the 20th uncommitted.

Jacksson had a great OV to Miami by all accounts - his remaining OVs:

Eberhart has OV'd to Mizzou and has remaining OVs after Nebraska at Alabama and Oklahoma

Rivals' Tim Verghese today:

Per Rivals' John Garcia, Nebraska four-star cornerback commit CJ Bronaugh will take the rest of his official visits. There was some momentum coming out of the weekend that the four-star could shut things down from people close to him. My read is the Huskers still sit at the very top of his recruitment. Florida State gets him on campus this weekend, then Penn State will get him in town the weekend after. As I said coming into June, Florida is the biggest threat to Nebraska here, but I get the read the Huskers have (for now) done enough to separate themselves from the Gaytors. It would take a lot for the Seminoles or Nittany Lions to clear the bar Nebraska has set.

We noted in yesterday's Tim-Bits that Oklahoma made a significant move for Odem while he was in town for his OV this weekend. The Sooners were pushing to get him to shut things down. While the Sooners are now the favorite at the top of the four-star's recruitment, he is opting to take the rest of his official visits. He's at Auburn currently for a mid-week OV, will visit Ohio State this weekend and is still scheduled to return to Nebraska June 20-22. As things stand, the Huskers will get their shot.

As we reported in yesterday's Tim-Bits, we've also added four-star athlete/nickel Jacob Eberhart to this weekend's official visit list. He'll be in town June 13-15. Huskers are battling Missouri, Oklahoma, Alabama and Illinois for the jumbo athlete, who could play wide receiver or linebacker as well.

Caught up briefly with Jones while at Omaha North this morning. He's coming off a strong official visit to Cockeye State. He's scheduled to visit Nebraska this weekend, June 13-15 then will close with Cockeye June 20-22. He's aiming to make a decision shortly after, then publicly announce his decision on July 4. Others in the market were bullish on Nebraska's chances when they offered, but this is a complicated recruitment. Cockeye State and Minnesota have been involved longer, as has Kansas State. Cockeye is the school he grew up rooting for and a school he remains quite interested. Yes, Nebraska is the in-state program and has his older brother on the team. But this isn't an open-and-shut recruitment for the Huskers. Nebraska can certainly land him, but it will take a strong visit this weekend and a feeling from Jones and his family that Lincoln is the best spot for his development on and off the field.

per BMunson Deacon Schmitt cancelled his OV
I'm going to drink the Kool-Aid and say him and Watkins's cancellations mean that they landed Luke Sorenson and Hayden Ainsworth along with Waterman's commit.

I think that Sorensen and Ainsworth are basically confirmed already,

Schmidt may or may not be related. He had a much longer relationship with some other schools than us, and reading what he was saying immediately after his OU visit he seemed like he absolutely loved it and he had committed there. Also, per BMunson

I figured OU was probably the leader. Have they been saying Waterman to OT for sure? On3 has Ainsworth at IOL but Rivals has him at OT. Will be interesting to see where they both end up being around the same size 6'5 300lb ish.

From the On3 Muns:

5. On3 has Waterman rated as an offensive tackle, but the Huskers have always envisioned him playing IOL.
