You don’t have to trust the hires, but that’s the only chance he ends up being the guy many want him to be. We know this staff isn’t the answer. We also know he probably has two more years for sure.

They need to hire someone that's not just going to hire buddies regardless of how good of a coach they are and then after they suck stick by them to the grave. Name a coach that we've had that has done any different.

We proved we were going to spend top 10 money and we didn’t hire an unequivocal top 10 guy or a top 25 guy we lured away with a hefty raise.

Instead we went and hired a guy who’s never had success and his first order of business was to bring in Jeff Sims.

I’ve been wrong a lot and I acknowledge that. But this equation was not hard to get right.

I agree, but many couldn’t see it. Rhule is in a super conference now. It’s one thing to develop a coaching staff in the Big 12, but you better have a great staff in the BIG or you’re going to get exposed and that’s where we stand today. I’m not looking for every assistant to get fired, but there better be some vast changes, or we will be looking for a new coach 2-3 years from now.
