Will there ever come a day when our new HC coaching hires are actually qualified to lead a G4 program?

I think a lot of it is poor leadership at the AD level and above. we're so desperate when hiring a new coach no one has the backbone to demand top-quality assistants. Rhule got a massive assistant coach salary pool and his first move is making fucking Satterfield a top 10 paid OC

it doesn't happen to coaches who go on to win big.

coaches who are successful in the long term don't get embarrassed like this in year 2. this is a gigantic red flag telling us that Rhule's vision is a failure and needs a massive adjustment in multiple areas

Teams have gotten blanked like this in national title games. One of the blessings and curses of football as a sport is its extremely small sample size, so people tend to overstate conclusions. I don’t think this would be the result with Indiana a majority of the times we played them. We’re also a team with wide variance in results.
