October recruiting thread

Just watched this kid's highlights

- Powerful runner, good quickness, above average speed
- Kid is muscular as hell, he claims a 500 lb squat and definitely looks the part. Listed at 215 but looks more like 225.
- His high school (Manor) is a D1 factory, the current Power 5 leader in rushing yards (Texas Tech's Tahj Brooks) is an alumni. So is Ochaun Mathis & the Umanmielen brothers. 2022 they sent 3 star RB Che Nwabuko to Pitt, 2023 they sent 4 star RB Quinten Joyner to USC.
- In 8 games this year, he has 1398 rushing yards and 19 TDs on the ground (8.8 yards per carry) to go along with 33 receptions and 382 receiving yards. Jesus!

I would be more than happy to have him here. He reminds me a lot of Devine Ozigbo actually. My only worry is losing out to a Big 12/SEC school.

he has great stats, especially considering he was a LB coming into this year. He has received a ton of press as well, but no offers or OVs as yet.

We are not interested at present, though, from what I have heard.

I'm not sure there is a clear-cut Plan B at this stage.
I sort of understand it, but I am so tired of Nebraska not having Plan B's because we don't want to "disrespect" the blue chip who is only using us as a place holder until the better offers come in. Happens all the fucking time. Get wise to the reality. The reality is if the kid is that good he's not coming here 95% of the time. Keep recruiting back up plans for fucks sake. Especially with how large our need is for RB's.

especially given we turned someone away who wanted to commit when Lacy committed, and that kid is a UCLAbia commit now.

Also, there are a LOT of serviceable/good RBs out there due to just how many kids play the position. If you're struggling to field good RBs that's usually a recruiting issue

Obviously, they could look to the portal (and might even if we get a recruit, given the numbers/injury situation) but we really need a RB in the class regardless.

Best guess is we try to flip someone, maybe a RB is the second back in his current class. E.g., the Gorman RB, Micah Ka'apana, commited to Michigan, who we were recruiting earlier. Michigan is under a bit of a cloud at present.

All the Michigan kids should be keeping their options in mind including their current roster.

I will just say this about Rhule. He has a plan B. Nothing about the man points towards him not having a plan B. If we were able to decipher Lacy's imminent decommit (and we knew it was happening days in advance) then Rhule was aware way before us and working on what to do.

Case in point....within days of Buffet Raiola going to Georgia we had a commitment from Danny "Dickin all the ladies down" Kaelin.

I bet Matt surprises us again.

Brix is gonna Rouse us, isn't he?

On the Sooner boards a growing number of people feel like Brix is slipping away. They lost another OL recruit yesterday, so it is doom and gloom. They feel their OL coach is a poor recruiter, which may be true at this stage of his career based on their current OL class.

I don't quite see what recruitniks see in Ka'apana. He's a good back but I think there are better plan B options out there.
