I'm sure the coaches have a plan B,C,D... They might not be quite as good as Lacy but I would be surprised if they didn't have a plan. I'm sure the coaches saw that this was a possibility and a have a some sort plan in place.

A headline RB prospect is not a wasted scholarship. Plus they are looking for a guy with speed and power who projects out to be, say 210-215 in college. If we had someone on the roster like now that would have already moved them to RB.
